Stable Worker's Compensation

We can write your Worker’s Compensation for most types of businesses in California, Nevada and Oregon including Stables and Trainers with admitted carriers. If you currently have coverage, we will require hard copy loss information from your carrier to quote but we can also quote if your business is brand new or you are hiring your first employee.  We broker for California's State Compensation Insurance Fund (available in California). Go to Application.

Horse Mortality

We offer a full line of equine mortality coverages through A rated carriers including Major Medical, Surgical, Loss of Use (both full coverage and external trauma only for performance horses), Guaranteed Extension, Agreed Value, Stallion Infertility, Limited Perils Mortality, International Transit, and Emergency Colic Surgery Extension. Quotes are available right over the phone and vet checks are not required on most horses valued at $100,000 or less. Personal Horse Owner's Liability

If you own horses that are for your personal show or pleasure use only and not for commercial endeavors such as lesson horses, you may obtain liability insurance to protect you in the event your horse causes bodily injury or property damage to someone else. Many stables are now requiring proof of this coverage as a condition to board there. It can be obtained one of two ways. The first is find out if your homeowners insurance will extend your personal liability to cover actions of your personal horses on or off premises. Some will, many won't, and none will allow you to name another party as an additional insured, such as the facility at which you board. The second way is to take out a policy of Equine Personal Liability insurance. Policies cover all your horses and start at as little as $150 per year for a $300,000 limit of coverage. Higher limits are available upon request and additional insureds may be added where required for an additional fee. This policy cannot provide liability for the Lessee of a horse - call for an appropriate application to cover a lessee. Go to Application.

Riding Clubs & Organizations

Our riding club policy includes your first seven public event days and up to 100 members starting at $500 per year. You can add events or additional insureds at any time during the year via fax or email. For large or specialty organizations, custom programs can be designed to meet your specific needs. Directors, officers, members, volunteers, employees and agents of the club are protected by this policy for third party liability claims in connection with their direct involvement in club activities. Directors  & Officers are not protected by this policy from suit brought by members for their actions as directors & officers, this can be covered on a separate policy. All event days include a set up and take down day at no extra charge. We also provide Fidelity Bonding and Crime Insurance for facilities and organizations as needed. Directors & Officers Liability

If you are looking to protect your board members, directors and officers from suits brought by members for their actions as directors & officers, this is the coverage you need. Coverage is available for all for profit and nonprofit companies and organizations and can include Employment Practices Liability and Fiduciary coverage as well. Equine Event and Show Managers Liability

Commercial Liability is available for event or horse show managers on a per event basis or for complete season coverage. Most every event involving horses can be insured from horse shows to demonstrations to parades. Annual policies can be written to include premises liability for permanent show offices, business personal property for your office equipment, buildings you own or portables you lease, and hired & non-owned auto liability. We can insure these businesses for those operators who are willing to work with a safety plan. Petting zoos with domestic type or farm animals can be included with pony rides or picture ponies. We now have a Business Owners Policy through The Hartford for most Dog Trainers, Groomers and Kennels including those who offer mobile services or work at multiple locations. This program is for the trainer who does obedience, working dog, or competitive training. Guard or attack dogs cannot be covered under this program nor can dog breeders. We also cover kennels, boarding and grooming on business packages with various carriers.  Demonstrations can be included as can buildings and business personal property and equipment.
